whales watching at Hervey Bay Each year from August to November whale watching fever hits Hervey Bay. The calm waters of the bay provide shelter for the Humpback whales and their calves. Hervey Bay is part of the route the whales take each year after giving birth to their calves in the warm waters of North Queensland. Visitors to Hervey Bay during the whale watching season are treated to magnificent displays by the whales. www.herveybayqld.com
