Please help us to help you by keeping the following points in mind:

  • Plan ahead for appointments. Try to make appointments at least one week before you need to complete the work.
  • As demand for appointments is high during the semester, you can only make one appointment per week and you can only make three appointments in advance.
  • Assignments must be typed, double spaced and in 12 point font.
  • Bring all relevant material with you to the appointment: course outline, topic, assessment criteria, etc.
  • While we offer advice on ways to improve your writing we are not proofreaders or "grammar checkers". Please proofread your work as carefully as possible before your appointment.

Students can also use the language and learning email service to ask specific questions to improve their academic writing. A language and learning adviser will respond to your message promptly:
